PropTech startup Smart Bricks has raised $5 million from a16z Speedrun at the Pre-Seed stage
PropTech startup Smart Bricks has raised $5 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz as part of the a16z Speedrun program.
In 2024, Mohamed left Boston Consulting Group and founded Smart Bricks — an AI platform for selecting and analyzing investment real estate. The company is based in London and San Francisco.
The Smart Bricks product analyzes millions of public and private datasets, including prices, liquidity, transaction history, supply, and financing terms. The platform uses an autonomous reasoning system that not only displays properties but also predicts deal outcomes through automated valuation models, cash flow forecasting, and risk analysis.
Additionally, Smart Bricks' AI agents can guide deals through all stages — from analysis to closing — and after purchase, they update data in real time, track asset performance, and model refinancing scenarios.
Other participants in the round included South Loop Ventures, Cornerstone VC, Techstars, as well as business angels from OpenAI, Airbnb, Anthropic, Blackstone, and DeepMind. The startup currently operates in the US, UK, and UAE.
According to the founder, the previous wave of PropTech startups failed to solve a key industry problem — the cognitive complexity and fragmentation of processes.
