Researchers from Nazarbayev University, Gulnur and Azamat Eshmukhametov, developed AI-powered smart insoles for the rehabilitation of athletes and children with autism. They presented their project at TechCrunch Disrupt and Central Eurasia Silicon Valley in San Francisco. The devices track gait, provide information to doctors, and help adjust therapy.
Sensory insoles for the rehabilitation of athletes and children with autism, developed by scientists at Nazarbayev University, have delighted Silicon Valley. The scientists participated in TechCrunch Disrupt—the world’s largest conference dedicated to technological innovations, bringing together industry innovators, startup founders, and investors.
During their visit to San Francisco, Gulnur also presented her project at the Central Eurasia Silicon Valley conference and attended an exclusive meeting for women who founded technology companies. She noted that the meeting was a testament to the inclusive spirit of the tech community and a source of great motivation.
Gulnur, together with her colleague Azamat Eshmukhamedov, developed insoles with AI-based sensors aimed at improving movement coordination and sensory integration in children with autism. These smart insoles track gait patterns and foot pressure and immediately notify doctors, who can then optimize ongoing therapy and adjust exercises.
