Telegram users in Uzbekistan have gained access to Apple and Tesla stocks
By integrating tokenized stocks into Telegram, we are giving millions of people a real chance to enter the global financial arena for the first time.
Wallet in Telegram announced the pilot launch of a new “US Market” section for users in Uzbekistan. The service will allow buying, selling, storing, and transferring tokenized shares of American companies and exchange-traded investment funds directly within the messenger. The pilot launch will begin in March 2026 and will last for one month under the supervision of the National Agency for Innovative Development.
In the new section, users will have access to more than 60 tokenized stocks and funds. These include shares of major American companies such as Apple, Tesla, Netflix, and Amazon, as well as ETFs tracking the performance of the US stock market, including the S&P 500. All transactions can be executed directly within Telegram without opening additional accounts or using traditional investment platforms.
The minimum investment amount will start from $1. Users will be able to buy fractional shares and instantly send tokenized assets to other Telegram users.
According to Global Findex 2025, more than 60% of Uzbekistan’s population already has bank accounts or access to financial institutions. However, for some segments of the population, barriers remain, including high costs of financial services, lack of funds, and the remote location of bank branches. New digital solutions integrated into popular services can expand access to investment tools.
Andrey Rogozov, Founder and CEO of The Open Platform and Wallet in Telegram
According to him, users will be able to invest in shares of leading American companies in the same place where they communicate, pay for services, and use digital services.
Diyorbek Mukhamedov, Regional Director of Wallet in Uzbekistan.
The launch of the “US Market” section in Uzbekistan is an important step for the local market and for users who previously did not have easy access to global investment tools. We see significant interest in investments, but we also understand that complexity and high entry barriers often deter people. Our task is to make investing understandable, accessible, and familiar by integrating it into the Telegram ecosystem, which users already trust every day.
The product operates through the integration of the xStocks platform and a partnership with the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken. The issuer of the tokenized assets is Backed, which ensures the issuance of shares and ETFs with 1:1 backing.
Trading operates on a 24/5 model, allowing users to execute trades almost anytime during the workweek. As Arjun Sethi, co-CEO of Kraken, noted, tokenization of financial instruments can safely expand access to global markets, especially for users in developing countries.
In October 2025, Wallet opened access to tokenized stocks and funds for a global audience. In Uzbekistan, the service became available in December 2025 after receiving a license from the National Agency for Innovative Development (NAIPP), and now the new investment section is available to more than 27 million Telegram users in the country.
