From May 23 to 25, 2025, Decentrathon 3.0 will take place — a large-scale national next-generation hackathon organized jointly by Astana Hub and the Blockchain and AI Technology Center, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry. The event sets a new standard of accessibility: for the first time, a hackathon of this scale is implemented in a fully online format on its own Decentra platform, integrated into the Telegram Mini App ecosystem.
The key feature of Decentrathon 3.0 is its unprecedented openness to all categories of participants regardless of their region of residence, age, or technical background. Organizers emphasize that even beginners without programming experience will have equal opportunities to participate and compete for a substantial prize fund of 16,000,000 tenge.
The hackathon offers participants two specialized tracks. The AI track is implemented with the support of Kazakhtelecom, activ 5G, and Mastercard. Within this track, a special AI in Creativity track is available, open to all participants regardless of their technical experience or background. No programming skills are required here — only creative thinking, a desire to learn, and readiness to work with modern AI tools. This is a great opportunity to try yourself in artificial intelligence and create something unique, even if you have never written code before.
The second track, GameJam, is developed in strategic partnership with Grand Mobile, a leader in the Kazakhstani mobile game industry. Participants in this track will delve into the practical aspects of game design, creating engaging game mechanics, and developing functional prototypes. The track tasks are based on real cases from the gaming industry and are aimed at developing and scaling gaming communities.
The Decentrathon 3.0 program includes a comprehensive support ecosystem for participants: professional mentoring from leading industry experts, exclusive tasks from partner companies, and the opportunity to receive valuable prizes. In addition to significant monetary rewards, participants will receive personalized certificates and official merch packs.
The innovative format conducted through Telegram Mini App eliminates technical barriers to participation — there is no need to install additional software, which significantly simplifies access and expands the event's geography.
Participant registration is carried out directly on the Decentra platform. The process includes selecting a thematic track, forming a new team, or joining an existing one, after which participants begin the preparatory stage. It is important to note that participation in the hackathon is absolutely free for all categories.
