OpenAI launched the budget subscription ChatGPT Go worldwide
OpenAI announced the global launch of the new ChatGPT Go subscription, which has become a more affordable alternative to existing paid ChatGPT plans. The subscription is now available in all countries where the service operates.
ChatGPT Go was first introduced in August 2025 in India as an experimental low-cost plan. After testing in more than 170 countries, the company decided to expand access to the subscription on a global scale.
In the US, ChatGPT Go costs $8 per month, while prices in other regions may vary depending on local conditions. The new plan offers users expanded capabilities compared to the free version of ChatGPT, including increased limits on the number of messages, file uploads, and image generation.
The subscription also includes access to the GPT-5.2 Instant model, optimized for fast responses and everyday tasks. According to OpenAI, ChatGPT Go users receive approximately ten times more limits than the free plan, as well as improved memory and a wider dialogue context.
ChatGPT Go complements OpenAI's existing lineup of subscriptions, which already includes ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Pro. The company notes that the new plan is aimed at users who need extended AI assistant functionality but at a more affordable price.
