What will be discussed at the largest IT event, beetech conf by QazCode
On May 23, the sixth beetech conf will take place in Almaty — one of Kazakhstan’s leading IT conferences, which annually brings together over a thousand participants. The central theme for 2026 will focus on how AI is integrated into real-world engineering and management practices. The conference will be held at NARXOZ University and will feature three thematic streams: Engineering, Data & AI, and Management. The program will also include acoustic sessions, speed mentoring, and a new format called Epic Fails Microphone, where a stand-up comedian will openly discuss participants’ failures that led to the best solutions.
The theme was chosen deliberately: in 2026, Kazakhstan has officially declared the Year of Artificial Intelligence. President Tokayev has set the task of large-scale AI implementation in the economy and public administration, and the country is actively moving toward the goal of increasing IT services exports to one billion dollars. In this context, beetech conf becomes not just an industry event, but a platform where the industry honestly discusses what works and what doesn’t.
Speakers and presentation topics
Practitioners who build products, manage teams, and implement technologies in a live market will take the stage. Among the speakers are experts from QazCode, Beeline, Kolesa Group, Hero's Journey, Freedom Holding Corp., and Wooppay, as well as international participants: Azamat Uzhangaliyev from Riot Games and Ilya Krassinsky — author of the Product Heroes course and one of the most prominent experts in product management in the Russian-speaking space.
The program focuses on how AI and digital tools are changing the daily work of teams — from product solutions to engineering processes.
In the Management stream, key cases will be analyzed at the level of real business:
— Ilyas Serikbay, Hero's Journey, will present a case of full digitalization of a fitness product. Instead of the classic “membership sales” model, the team built a system with gamification and data-driven management, which doubled the frequency of user workouts and increased their effectiveness by 40%. In his report, Ilyas will break down engagement mechanics, product logic, and the differences between traditional and digital fitness.
— Beksultan Mambetov, POWR.IO, will show how AI can radically change the work of a product manager. Working simultaneously on eight projects and seven data sources, he reduced information processing time from two hours to two minutes by building his own AI-based system.
— Alibek Abdukhalik, Plan B Films, will discuss how generative AI is changing video production at the business level. The focus will be on real cases from commercial projects: how time-to-market is reduced, how production pipelines are restructured, and how this affects budgets and results.
— Vitaly Kim, Freedom Holding, will talk about the launch of drone-based food delivery in Almaty, as well as the service’s operational model, unit economics, key limitations, and scaling scenarios.
Special attention will be given to international speakers. Ilya Krassinsky is one of the most well-known product management experts in the Russian-speaking space, author of the educational program Product Heroes, and a practitioner who has worked with products at major tech companies, including Yandex. In his work, he focuses on product methodologies, a systematic approach to product development, and training product managers. He will also share his expertise on why some companies succeed and reach international levels while others do not, which mistakes to avoid, and which decisions to make.
In the Data & AI stream, the emphasis will shift to solution architecture and data handling:
— Ulan Korabay and Batyrkhan Shutenov, QazCode, will discuss a Spark Streaming optimization case: how the team identified bottlenecks in GC, storage, and shuffle, changed the architecture, and reduced data processing latency from 15 minutes to two seconds, moving to near real-time processing.
— Vitaly Trenkenshu, bids.do, will show how a three-stage AI pipeline for tender processing works: how the system processes tens of thousands of lots and generates a relevant list in minutes, and why such tasks cannot be solved with a single request to a model.
— Almaz Aubakirov and Ayan Myrzakhmet, QazCode, will present a Data Clean Room — an architecture that allows training models on data from multiple partners without transferring raw data.
— Kutlymurat Mambetnizyazov, BTS Digital, will discuss cases at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, including the detection of a vulnerability that existed for over 16 years using AI approaches.

Acoustic sessions and speed mentoring
As usual, a separate block of the conference will be dedicated to acoustic sessions — live discussions where experts and the audience speak directly.
The first session, “Kazakhstan as an AI Hub: Ambition or Utopia?”, will bring together founders and industry leaders for an honest conversation about whether the country has the real infrastructure, talent, and capital to play the role of a regional AI development center. Participants will include Alexey Sharavar, CEO of QazCode; Arman Suleimenov, CEO of nFactorial Group; Amina Baikenova, ISSAI; Askhat Adhamov, CEO of MoonAI Inc.; and Anuar Makashev, QazCode.
The second acoustic session, AI in Enterprise, will focus on how to implement AI in large companies without losing control, trust, and budget. This will be a discussion about the transition from pilots to real practice: when AI is already working in production and bringing not only results but also the first mistakes. Participants will discuss who should lead such projects within a company — the tech team or the business — and how processes change when AI becomes part of daily work. CTOs and IT experts from QazCode, Freedom Holding, and the international IT company Andersen will take part in the discussion.
The third acoustic session, “Career 2030”, will focus on what to learn if the labor market changes every six months: disappearing professions, new literacy, and experience that no university can provide. Experts from Yandex Practicum, ProHunters, and Beeline Kazakhstan will participate in the discussion.
In addition to lectures, case studies, and acoustic sessions, the program includes speed mentoring — a format of short 15-minute consultations with industry experts. Organizers note that all slots were filled last year. Thus, the program combines several formats so that participants can quickly apply the knowledge they gain in practice.
