National companies in Uzbekistan are preparing for IPOs in London and Tashkent.
Uzbekistan is entering the global capital market, taking one of the most significant steps in the development of its economy. For the first time, shares of national companies will be listed simultaneously on two platforms—the London Stock Exchange and the Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange.
The listing will take place through the National Investment Fund, which will serve as the key instrument for bringing Uzbek companies to the international level. The preparation and coordination of the IPO are being handled by the international investment company Franklin Templeton, which holds a license to operate in Uzbekistan.
The implementation of the project has become possible thanks to the course of openness and reforms carried out by the country's leadership. The entry into the international market is seen as an important signal for foreign investors—Uzbekistan demonstrates its readiness to work according to global standards of transparency and corporate governance.
