The National Bank of Kazakhstan will launch the "Digital Investment Coin" project in the AIX TABYS mobile application

The National Bank of Kazakhstan, in celebration of the Day of the National Currency – the tenge, announces plans to launch a new project, the "Digital Investment Coin," in the first quarter of 2025.

Gold investment coins can be bought and sold online at any time and from anywhere in the world.

The cost of the investment coin in digital equivalent will be calculated in tenge based on the weight and gold price set by LBMA, and the exchange rate of the US dollar to the tenge established by the National Bank.

The coins will be sold through the TABYS mobile application of the Astana International Exchange (AIX).

Under the "Digital Investment Coin" project, coins can be purchased, sold back to the National Bank, gifted, and, upon accumulating a sufficient quantity, exchanged for a physical gold investment coin at the territorial branches of the National Bank.

For this project, an exclusive design for a new investment coin, ÚKI, made of Au 999.9 gold with a face value of 100 tenge and weighing 31.1 grams, has been developed.

The coin is designed in the style of collectible coins from the "Iconic Animals – Totems of Nomads" series. The ÚKI investment coin is available for purchase exclusively through the mobile application. The coins will be issued in blisters.

Information regarding the exact launch date of the project will be posted additionally on the official website of the National Bank.
