MSSP.GLOBAL launches in Astana Cyber Steppe — a conference on the new culture of cybersecurity
On September 4–5, at the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Alem.ai, the government, businesses, experts, and citizens will discuss how to make safe behavior in the digital environment as habitual a standard as safety rules in everyday life.
The conference will take place with the support of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Cyber Steppe will kick off September — the month of digital security in Kazakhstan.
Throughout the month, the theme of cyber hygiene will continue in the regions of the country, while the conference itself will combine the professional agenda of cybersecurity with practical training for ordinary users.
Today, digital threats are no longer limited to attacks on companies. Cyber fraud, data breaches, social engineering, and deepfakes have become part of everyday digital life.
Therefore, organizers propose looking at security more broadly: not only as technology and the work of information security specialists, but also as a culture of behavior for every individual on the internet.
September 4 — Government and Business.
Representatives of government agencies, businesses, startups, and the information security community will discuss how to move from formal compliance to real digital resilience, how the government and businesses can work together more effectively, and what protection tools companies need.
A separate session will be dedicated to cyber threats and challenges posed by artificial intelligence. Participants will also discuss key market trends for 2026–2027.
September 5 — Civil Society.
The second day will be open to families, children, students, and educators. There will be no complex professional jargon — instead, there will be practical simulators, games, and tests.
Participants will be able to test their digital security skills, undergo cyber hygiene training, and visit the deepfake laboratory.
Over 3,000 Participants
Organizers expect more than 2,000 offline participants in Astana and over 1,000 online participants from Almaty, Shymkent, and regional centers.
The program includes more than 20 speakers and experts, panel discussions, workshops, case studies, and open communication with representatives of government agencies.
