Author - Mansur Ismagulov
Starting October 1, 2025, China will officially launch the K visa, according to a decision by the State Council.
Young specialists in science and technology who meet the requirements of Chinese authorities will be able to obtain the new K visa. Unlike other types of visas, it does not require an invitation from a Chinese organization or company.
Holders of the K visa will be able to participate in educational, cultural, and scientific and technological exchanges, as well as engage in entrepreneurial and business activities.
Applicants will need to provide supporting documents, and detailed requirements will be published by Chinese embassies on October 1.
This is an important step in China's efforts to attract global talent in innovation and to develop cross-border cooperation.
For Central Asian startups, this is a great opportunity to explore the Chinese market and scale up through the program here.
