The project Zara’s Planet by Global Green Hub has been nominated for a prestigious UNESCO award. The decision to nominate the initiative was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, marking a significant event for the entire country.
Zara’s Planet is the world's first eco-quest, created based on a unique methodology of eco-technological thinking. The format combines gaming, education, and practical actions, helping children and parents not only learn about ecology but also understand how to address the root causes of environmental problems.
Since its launch, the project has engaged over 7,000 participants in Kazakhstan. Support for Zara’s Planet is provided by the Akimat of Astana, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Zero Waste partners. As part of the initiative, weekly eco-quests for children and parents are held, with no global equivalents.
The project has global ambitions: negotiations are currently underway to launch the franchise in Ghana, Taiwan, and Uzbekistan. The nomination for the UNESCO award confirms the significance of the initiative and demonstrates Kazakhstan's ability to create world-class projects.
