Kazakhstani graduates of the Tech Orda program, implemented under the initiative of the Center for Information Technologies and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan at Astana Hub, are preparing their own mobile game for release. The new project, titled Box of Box, is an arcade runner where the player controls a robot, collects loot boxes on a conveyor belt, and unlocks characters with unique abilities. The first version of the game was created as part of the training, and this year the team plans to release a demo version on Google Play.
Work on the project began when participants met during the Tech Orda course and decided to join forces. The training helped them systematize their knowledge, understand all stages of game development, and gain confidence, which played a key role in their future careers.
Daniil Saifulin, co-founder of Box of Box, game designer, and 2D artist, after completing the course, got a job as an illustrator designer at Mytona RS. The program allowed him to look at the process more broadly, try himself in the role of a team leader, and assemble a team.
Another project participant, Iskander Alshinbayev, previously worked as a lawyer, but thanks to Tech Orda, he completely changed his profession and now works on implementing AI-based solutions for automated testing in an international company specializing in racing simulators. The program gave him the opportunity to start from scratch and proved that it is never too late to change careers.
Additionally, the Box of Box team includes Damir Gabdrashitov, Nikita Bannov, Damir Mukatov, Zhanan Beibitbek, Yelzhan Jussupov, Aidar Baymenzin, Zhanayat Kairilaev, and Damir Rakhmangali. Despite the fact that many participants have already found jobs in the game development field, they continue to develop the game and prepare it for a full release. The project has already received high praise from publishers Take Top Entertainment and PlayDucky, with whom collaboration is planned.
