Kazakhstani company Gen2B has developed the first language model for Armenia

Gen2B, a Kazakhstani technology company founded by venture capitalist Bakht Niyazov and technology entrepreneur Armen Atayan, has presented HyGPT, the first large language model (LLM) for Eastern Armenian. The development was carried out in collaboration with the National Center for Artificial Intelligence and Technologies of Armenia (NCCAIT).

HyGPT was built on the Gemma 2 architecture and trained on 10 billion Armenian tokens. It demonstrates high accuracy in translation, question answering, mathematical reasoning, and instruction understanding. On several Armenian benchmarks, HyGPT-10b-it outperforms international models with significantly larger numbers of parameters.

HyGPT is already available for download on the Hugging Face platform and can be used in educational projects, digital products, public services, and business.
The project became Gen2B's second local success, following the release of Irbis-GPT at the end of 2024. This is a language model in Kazakh, which has already been downloaded more than 8,500 times. The next language the Gen2B team plans to work on is Uzbek.

Although language models and AI bots in Kazakh, Armenian, and other minority languages are already being used in Gen2B clients' business processes: in sales, support, and automation, this is only a small part of a much larger architecture. At the core of Gen2B's solutions lies an innovative platform that is itself considered artificial intelligence. It does not just serve teams or clients, but autonomously analyzes, learns, and proposes management decisions based on data from all communication channels. The company is building a new type of ecosystem, ready for the emergence of AI-First companies, where AI becomes a full-fledged manager of business units.

The models are available to all users completely free of charge: both for personal and commercial use, in Kazakh and Armenian. The exception is banks, telecommunications companies, insurance, and financial organizations. They must contact Gen2B in advance to obtain permission to use the model.
