In 2026, Kazakhstan will transition to a platform-based model of digitalization.
Our task is to build a stable, unified, and efficient digital platform for the state, where digital solutions work as a system, not as fragmented projects.
Starting in 2026, Kazakhstan will transition to a platform-based model for digitalization based on the national information and communication platform of the electronic government, QazTech. This was announced at a meeting held by the Government under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, Zhaslan Madiev.
The discussion involved representatives of central state bodies, akimats, as well as national holding companies and enterprises. The key topic was the mandatory migration of state bodies and quasi-public sector organizations to the QazTech platform.
Beginning in 2026, a moratorium will be introduced on the creation of new information systems outside the QazTech platform. The development of digital solutions is planned to be carried out within a unified architecture, avoiding duplication of functions and inefficient budget expenditures.
The transition to a platform-based model will allow for the consolidation of state digital services and data, reduce the number of redundant information systems, and enhance the scalability, security, and technological compatibility of digital solutions.
