The first state crypto fund, Alem Crypto Fund, has begun operations in Kazakhstan. It is designed for long-term investments in digital assets and the formation of national cryptocurrency reserves. The initiative was launched by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan in collaboration with Qazaqstan Venture Group. The fund was registered within the ecosystem of the International Financial Center "Astana," ensuring compliance with international financial standards.
The fund's objective is to create strategic reserves of digital assets and diversify state investments. In the future, Alem Crypto Fund may serve as a tool for managing state savings and supporting national financial projects in the blockchain sector.
The fund's strategic partner is Binance Kazakhstan, a licensed platform of the global cryptocurrency exchange Binance. In collaboration with Binance Kazakhstan, the fund made its first investment—the purchase of BNB tokens, the primary asset of the BNB Chain ecosystem. This token is used for conducting transactions, paying fees, and participating in network governance. As of the launch date, the market capitalization of BNB exceeds $138 billion.
The launch of Alem Crypto Fund demonstrates Kazakhstan's commitment to strengthening its position in digital finance, developing the blockchain economy, and integrating into global trends in next-generation asset management.
