Kazakhstan has adopted the first law regulating artificial intelligence
Author - Mansur Ismagulov
The Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the second reading of the law "On Artificial Intelligence" and related amendments. The document enshrines key AI concepts in legislation for the first time, regulates the rights of developers and users, and introduces mandatory labeling of content created by neural networks.
The law provides for the creation of a National AI Platform to support developers and provide access to data libraries, as well as measures for state support of research and educational programs. High-risk systems will be under special control, and technologies capable of manipulating behavior or analyzing emotions without consent are directly prohibited.
Additionally, if a product is entirely created by artificial intelligence without human involvement, it will not be protected by copyright.
