On October 31, Kaspi unveiled a new technology in Almaty — Kaspi Alaqan, which allows users to pay for purchases with a single gesture by scanning their palm. During the presentation, Mikhail Lomtadze demonstrated how the system recognizes hand biometrics and instantly processes payments, even if the user has no internet access.
The feature is built on Kaspi’s proprietary technologies and, according to company representatives, ensures a high level of security and convenience: users no longer need to take out their phone or card — they simply need to hold their palm near the terminal.

Interestingly, a similar solution was previously presented by the Kazakh startup Alaqan, which specializes in palm-based biometric identification. However, Kaspi has taken it a step further by integrating the technology into its ecosystem and preparing it for mass rollout.
The new feature will be available to users starting in December 2025.
