Israel and Azerbaijan strengthen partnership in the field of artificial intelligence
Israel and Azerbaijan have signed a memorandum of understanding on artificial intelligence, aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in advanced technologies and digital research. The agreement was concluded in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The document was signed by Erez Eshel, head of Israel's National AI Authority and a retired general, and Rashad Nabiyev, Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport.
According to the memorandum, cooperation will cover several key areas: developing high-performance computing infrastructure, applying AI in critical civilian sectors, training and upskilling specialists, and implementing joint research projects. This agreement aims to strengthen both countries' positions in innovation and technology.
Prime Minister Netanyahu noted that artificial intelligence has already become a crucial tool of the present, not just the future. He stated that the agreement with Azerbaijan opens up additional opportunities to strengthen the partnership and advance Israel's global leadership in AI.
