IT Park Uzbekistan and HTP Kyrgyzstan are expanding their technological partnership in Central Asia
As part of the Global Business Services Forum GBSF 2026, Azamat Karamatov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, held a meeting with a delegation from the High Technologies Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, led by its director Azis Abakirov.
At the beginning of the meeting, Azis Abakirov congratulated IT Park Uzbekistan on its seventh anniversary, highly praising the park’s achievements and its contribution to the development of the technological ecosystem in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. The parties also discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, implementing joint initiatives in the field of innovation, and promoting Central Asia as a unified technological region.
The partnership between IT Park Uzbekistan and HTP Kyrgyzstan has been developing since 2021, when a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed. During this time, the organizations have implemented several joint initiatives, exchanged experience in developing technological ecosystems, supporting the export of IT services, and strengthening the international presence of the region.
Today, HTP Kyrgyzstan brings together more than 450 IT companies employing approximately 3,000 specialists. More than 90% of the revenue of resident companies comes from the export of software and IT services to countries in North America, Europe, and Asia. The park also offers one of the most competitive tax regimes for IT companies in Central Asia.
During the meeting, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan invited HTP Kyrgyzstan to join the Central Eurasia Innovation Hubs initiative, which unites leading innovation ecosystems in the region. The parties discussed prospects for joint work on developing regional innovation ecosystems, supporting technological hubs outside of capital cities, training qualified specialists, and attracting investment into high-tech projects.
A separate topic of discussion was joint steps to attract international technology companies, investors, and strategic partners, as well as to promote Central Asia as a promising region for developing IT businesses and global service centers.
As a result of the meeting, IT Park Uzbekistan and HTP Kyrgyzstan confirmed their readiness to expand strategic partnership, launch new joint projects, and strengthen cooperation in the fields of the digital economy, innovation, and IT services export.
