The IT Community of Uzbekistan has completed a series of trips to cities across Uzbekistan with the mission to share insights about careers in the technology sector. Leading experts from the country's IT industry spent seven months advising participants on how to find a job and build a career in IT, transition to freelancing, or launch their own startup.
The IT Community Roadshow kicked off in October 2024 in Tashkent. By the end of May, organizers had visited all regions of the country and organized 19 events. The total number of participants exceeded 3,500 people, including high school students and their parents, teachers, students, and entry-level professionals.
The Roadshow was organized by the professional community IT Community of Uzbekistan, which includes more than 800 volunteers, 160 of whom were actively involved in organizing the events. Speakers at the Roadshow included both international and local experts—representatives of technology companies, educational institutions, and freelancers. Over the course of the events, 52 experts shared their IT experience. Special attention was given to supporting women in technology—sessions specifically for women were held in collaboration with the international Women in Tech movement. Uzum served as the General Partner of the IT Community Roadshow. Speakers from Uzum covered topics such as marketing, research, and careers in IT during their presentations. Thanks to the main sponsor, trips by the organizational team of IT Community of Uzbekistan across the country, as well as prizes and meals for participants, became possible.
