About the community

The IT community of Tajikistan was created in January 2020 as a Telegram channel. I joined as one of the first members and still serve as a moderator. We started with an online platform and later added offline events. In 2023, we launched GDG Khujand to cover a wide range of technologies and provide opportunities for professional and personal growth.

Our goals include raising development standards and facilitating knowledge exchange among professionals, creating professional communities such as .Net Community Tajikistan, and organizing high-quality events that contribute to the development and strengthening of the local IT ecosystem.

Community members

We focus on developers, students, technical specialists, and technology enthusiasts. Both beginners and experienced professionals working in local and international companies join us. You can join through our Telegram and Instagram channels or by participating in events.

Our team consists of me, Muhammad Abdugafarov, one of the organizers, along with co-organizers Doniyor Niyozov, Aslia Boturova, Orasta Mirdadova, Niso Mahmudova, and Usmonchun Nurmatov. We actively recruit volunteers from among our members to build a strong and cohesive team.

Events for community members

We organize workshops and GDG Khujand conferences, events for .Net Community Tajikistan specialists, and, together with Silk Road Professionals, participate in organizing DevCon. At the end of December, we plan to hold GDG DevFest.

All events are open to everyone and free of charge thanks to support from local sponsors. You can join via Instagram and Telegram.

Successful projects

Creating .Net Community Tajikistan was an important step for us. This community brings together specialists and helps them deepen their knowledge and share experiences. Additionally, our collaboration with Silk Road Professionals within the framework of DevCon demonstrates successful integration of local and professional efforts.

Plans

We plan to continue developing professional communities and organizing more events. DevCon will take place on December 7, and at the end of the month, GDG DevFest will be held — a bright conclusion to the year.

In the future, we aim to increase the number of participants and host international-level events.
