Yandex has taught a polyglot neural network to "understand" the Kazakh language

The model can automatically recognize the language in a single stream and switch between languages at any time.

With the help of the new neural network, companies will be able to more easily and quickly create multilingual voice assistants and robots for call centers with a large flow of customers. The model recognizes speech on any topic and in various formats: short and long phrases, as well as names, addresses, dates, and numbers. It can automatically recognize the language in a single stream: the neural network can switch between languages at any time. Additionally, there is an option to provide it with "hints" to improve recognition quality.

The new neural network operates in the Yandex SpeechKit speech synthesis and recognition service.
