MA7 Ventures announced a $3.1 million deal in Higgsfield — one of the most prominent AI startups in Silicon Valley. This round is a bridge round, a classic practice before a major Series A.
Through the MA7 Angels Club syndicate, more than 50 investors from Central Asia invested $3.1 million as part of the bridge round and $600,000 as part of the Series A in Higgsfield — a San Francisco-based company founded by a Kazakh entrepreneur that is creating next-generation generative video technology. The deal provided a unique opportunity for private investors in the region to enter a world-class project, where global players are already among the strategic partners.
The key to this opportunity for regional investors was provided by venture investors Murat Abdrakhmanov and Yelzhan Kukeshebayev. Abdrakhmanov was an early and first investor in Higgsfield, supporting the project at the idea stage when the company still had no product. This strategic trust has already yielded more than a 60-fold paper return and has become a benchmark for venture risk in the region.
The deal was executed in the format of a syndicate, which allows pooling the capital of many private investors into a single investment. This deal became an important signal for the entire Central Asian venture ecosystem: regional business angels not only support global stories but also enter the market alongside leading international investors.
Recently, the founders of Higgsfield announced a Series A round of $50 million, led by GFT Ventures with participation from BroadLight Capital, NextEquity Partners, AI Capital Partners, and Menlo Ventures. Within five months of launch, the platform already attracted more than 11 million users and received over 1.2 billion views on social media, reflecting the project's rapid growth and potential.
MA7 Ventures is a venture ecosystem founded by Murat Abdrakhmanov, the largest angel investor in Central Asia. It combines a direct investment fund, an angel club, and an international community. The investment in Higgsfield is yet another confirmation that regional investors can play a significant role on the global venture map.
Higgsfield was founded by Erzhat Dulat and Alex Mashrabov. Mashrabov is a former head of Generative AI at Snap and co-founder of AI Factory, which was sold to Snap for $166 million. Erzhat Dulat is an engineer and artificial intelligence researcher; he initiated the idea of Higgsfield and was instrumental in developing its scientific concept.
