Gemini has almost caught up with ChatGPT in terms of the number of users.

Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai stated that the new Gemini 3 model has surpassed GPT and taken the lead in the artificial intelligence market. He made this announcement during the company's fourth-quarter 2025 earnings report.

According to Pichai, the launch of Gemini 3 became a "key milestone" for Google, providing the company with a significant technological advantage. The model ranked first in industry benchmarks, including LMArena, and demonstrated superior performance in reasoning and multimodal understanding tasks—processing text, images, and video.

Gemini 3 Pro shows higher performance compared to previous versions and competitors, and its adoption rate has been the highest in the company's history. Since its launch, the model has processed an average of three times more tokens per day than Gemini 2.5 Pro.

Amid the success of Gemini 3, the user base of the Gemini app exceeded 750 million monthly active users, and the enterprise version, Gemini Enterprise, was sold in more than 8 million paid licenses.

The company emphasized that Gemini is now becoming the foundational AI platform for Google products—from Search and YouTube to cloud and enterprise services.
