Flagship at an affordable price – review of the POCO X4 Pro 5G smartphone

This new smartphone has its own slogan, "Universal Hero," although a more fitting description would be "a flagship at an affordable price." The smartphone has proven to be quite popular, following the latest trends: from the shift to flat edges (hello, Apple) to optimizing performance with turbo charging. Let's take a quick look and highlight the key features of the POCO X4 Pro 5G.

Display and Camera

The main advantage of this smartphone is its 6.67-inch display. The POCO X now features an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz – a luxury in the price segment of the X4 Pro 5G ($450-500). Thanks to the DCI-P3 technology, colors become brighter and more vivid, both outdoors and indoors.

The resolution is better than Full-HD, which helps the "picture" look quite sharp – again, this is the best solution in this price range. Only more expensive smartphones with QHD panels offer better resolution.

The main camera supports 108 megapixels, while the front camera is equipped with 16 MP. The colors in the photos are quite sharp, and the white and black balance is handled well.

Performance and Battery

The POCO X4 Pro 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 processor, which handles demanding games and applications quite well. The developers have also taken care of overheating – they added the LiquidCool 1.0 Plus technology for constant cooling and prolonged use of maximum performance.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G's 5000 mAh battery can comfortably last a full day. With 67W turbo charging, the smartphone fully charges in about half an hour. A 20-minute charge can last for a day.

Conclusion

The POCO X4 Pro 5G is a good attempt to create a phone that aims to be a flagship at an affordable price. In its segment, it significantly wins with its display and performance.
