EY and Huawei: Educational and Career Programs for Women in the IT Field

We have compiled a selection of international programs for the development of women in the technology sector.

EY Women in Technology program

EY promotes gender equality in the IT field through the launch of support programs:

1. EY STEM App is a mobile application that offers game-based content focused on science and technology.
2. The HER DIGITAL SKILLS program aims to teach digital skills to girls around the world.
3. EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women identifies ambitious women entrepreneurs and provides them with advice, resources, and networking opportunities.

Stemettes

The organization conducts panel discussions, coding training programs, and hackathons to teach women digital literacy. All of these are designed for girls aged 5 to 25. Stemettes projects:

1. Stemillions — programming clubs for schools and universities. Within the organization, various events must be conducted using Stemettes. This will allow students to gain experience and receive certificates from an international company.
2. Student to Stemette Programme allows young girls aged 15 to 21 to join a mentoring program and gain access to one-to-one mentoring from IT experts.

Girl Develop It

The organization creates a lot of educational content for women working in STEM. They offer online courses in various specialties: from Software Development to Machine Learning. Since 2010, Girl Develop It has established its branches in 60 cities across America and opened online access to its programs to promote women in IT.

Huawei Women in Technology

Huawei conducts various programs, including bootcamps and hackathons for women around the world. Their programs include:

1. The Summer Camp 4 Her — a summer camp where young girls are trained in ICT opportunities.
2. TECH4HER scholarship programme — a program providing scholarships to girls at technological universities.
