Discord is preparing for a potential IPO in spring 2026.
The online communication platform Discord is considering going public as early as March 2026. The company has confidentially filed documents with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase are leading the underwriters for the potential IPO. Exact timing and terms of the offering have not yet been finalized and may change depending on market conditions.
Discord was founded in 2015 and initially targeted gamers, but over time it evolved into a universal platform for communities, education, and business. According to the latest data, the service has more than 200 million monthly active users.
Previously, the company considered alternative development scenarios. In 2021, Discord rejected Microsoft's offer to acquire it for $10 billion, deciding to maintain its independence.
If the plans are implemented, Discord's IPO could become one of the most notable public offerings in the technology sector in 2026, amid the gradual recovery of the IPO market.
