Digital Almaty is transforming into a new national format — Digital Qazaqstan

In 2026, the Digital Almaty technology forum in Kazakhstan will transform into a new national format — Digital Qazaqstan, which will unite the country's regions into a single platform for developing digital initiatives, IT companies, industrial clients, and government structures.

The first Digital Qazaqstan forum will take place on March 27, 2026, in Shymkent, one of the country's largest industrial and economic centers. Starting in 2026, the event is planned to be held annually in different cities of Kazakhstan, forming a national ecosystem for technological and digital development.

Holding the forum in Shymkent aims to discuss the digitalization of the real sector of the economy, the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in industry, and strengthening cooperation between regions and the national technological ecosystem.

The main theme of the forum will be the new industrial era — "Industry 5.0: The Power of Interaction." The concept of Industry 5.0 implies a harmonious interaction between humans and technology, where artificial intelligence, big data, and robotics are seen as tools to enhance human potential, increase economic efficiency, and promote sustainable development.

The forum is expected to bring together representatives of government agencies, business, international corporations, investors, technology companies, startups, and the expert community. Participants will discuss practical approaches to implementing digital and AI solutions in key sectors of the economy.

The business program of the event will include a plenary session, industry panel discussions, round tables, an exhibition of IT companies and startups, technology competitions, contests, and hackathons. Additionally, the Digital Qazaqstan Awards ceremony will be held as part of the forum, aimed at recognizing the best national and regional practices in digital transformation.

Media accreditation is open until March 9, 2026. Organizers note that the forum will serve as a platform for discussing key trends in the digital economy and exchanging experiences among participants in Kazakhstan's technology market.
