On November 27, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decision "On measures for the further development of the financial technology sector in Uzbekistan," which sets out the development goals for the industry for 2026–2030. According to the document, it is planned to attract $1 billion in foreign investments into fintech startups and increase the number of market participants to at least 200.
As part of the initiative, a venture fund with a capital of $50 million will be established under the Central Bank. The main task of the fund is to finance and support the development of fintech startups.
In addition, an innovation center for startups operating in the field of financial technologies will be organized. Starting from 2026, the state will partially compensate participants' expenses for training and certification in the field of fintech — up to 50% of expenses, but no more than $20,000.
The Central Bank also plans to hold annual international forums dedicated to financial technologies, which will facilitate the exchange of experience and the establishment of international cooperation.
