Central Asia will participate in the global Women in Tech 2026 summit in South Africa
From April 28 to 30, 2026, the global Women in Tech summit will take place in Cape Town, South Africa — one of the key international events aimed at empowering women in technology and innovation.
The summit annually brings together representatives from more than 70 countries and serves as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the development of international partnerships. In 2026, the summit will host over 700 delegates, more than 80 international speakers, as well as leaders from the business, public sector, startup community, and civil society. In previous years, the summit was held in Japan and France.
About the Summit
The main goal of the summit is to inspire action and create sustainable partnerships that will help women actively participate in shaping the technological future.
The focus of the 2026 agenda includes artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, sustainable development, and technological diplomacy with a focus on emerging markets.
The three-day program features presentations by international experts, panel discussions, interactive workshops, as well as a gala dinner and awards ceremony.
The summit also supports the global goal of the Women in Tech movement — to support five million women in STEAM fields by 2030.
Central Asia's Participation
For the third year, delegates from Central Asia are participating in the summit. In 2025, at the summit in Japan, the Women in Tech Uzbekistan chapter was awarded for its work with youth, while the chapter in Kazakhstan received the "Chapter of the Year" award.
For delegates from Central Asian countries, participation in the summit offers the opportunity to represent their nations on a global level, strengthen international ties, exchange experiences, and showcase the region's concrete steps in developing and supporting women in STEAM.
The summit will bring together founders and entrepreneurs, top managers, investors, representatives of corporations and the public sector, experts, and consultants interested in international cooperation and building an inclusive future.
Delegations and Partnership
Currently, Central Asian countries are forming delegations to participate in the summit. Participation is based on self-funding.
The Women in Tech team is open to partnership, sponsorship, and joint initiatives.
