The developer of the AI code editor has joined SpaceX. The deal was initiated in April when the companies announced a partnership with SpaceXAI to accelerate model training.
Cursor gains access to the world's largest fleet of graphics processing units. This will enable the training of more powerful models and reduce their operational costs, while allowing clients to offer more capable tools at a lower price. An early example of collaboration within the company is Grok 4.6, launched on August 12.
Through the deal, SpaceX enters the software developer market with a ready-made product. Cursor becomes part of the corporation's AI ecosystem, which includes its own models, computing resources, and end-user services.
The product's goal remains unchanged: to help developers spend less time writing code and more time solving complex problems.
