The founders of Libermans Co, David and Daniil Liberman, arrived in Uzbekistan on a business visit. The program included meetings with the country’s Minister of Digital Technologies, the leadership of IT Park Uzbekistan, and representatives of state and private IT organizations. The guests were presented with the activities and ecosystem of IT Park, shown the data center infrastructure, and introduced to innovative solutions at the UzInfocom showroom — a state-owned IT integrator.
Libermans Co was founded in 2021. The company attracts investors with an unconventional model: the value lies not in a specific product, but in the entrepreneurial platform itself, which enables the team to launch and scale technological solutions across various sectors. Libermans Co is currently valued at approximately $400 million. The Liberman brothers previously created products that captured the interest of the global market: their project Kernel AR was acquired by Snap Inc., after which they held leadership positions in the company and worked on augmented reality technologies and other innovative solutions.
Currently, Libermans Co’s key development is the Gonka project — a decentralized network of high-performance computing for artificial intelligence. This platform aims to reduce resource waste and optimize computing infrastructure for training AI models, offering an alternative to traditional centralized cloud systems.
During the visit, the parties were presented with Uzbekistan’s strategy for developing the digital economy. According to forecasts, IT services exports may exceed $1 billion by 2025 and reach $5 billion by 2030, while the number of IT professionals could grow to 300,000.
A key topic of discussion was the potential development of data centers, including those located in the Karakalpakstan Republic, as well as the integration of Uzbek infrastructure into the Gonka network. This would allow Uzbekistan to become one of the nodes in a decentralized global AI network and attract additional investments in high-performance computing. Additionally, the parties discussed the development of engineering talent, strengthening open-source culture, and supporting research and publications in the field of artificial intelligence.
The prospect of regional cooperation among Central Asian countries in the field of AI technologies was also considered. Among possible initiatives is hosting the Decentralized AI Conference 2026 in Tashkent, which could draw global attention to the region.
