It is important to understand: without Kazakhstan or without Uzbekistan, there is simply no separate market in the region. The market only emerges when these two leaders act together and represent a unified space. We started talking about Central Asian startups and continue to prove it with deals.
The fund is already actively working with the Uzbek ecosystem: among the portfolio companies of Big Sky Capital are three startups from Uzbekistan, including TASS Vision, and five portfolio companies have opened local offices in the country while simultaneously operating in two markets. Big Sky is actively developing co-investment with key players in the region, including UzVC, Aloqa Ventures, Uzcard Ventures, SQB Ventures, effectively covering all leading structures of the venture market in Uzbekistan.

Today we announced the start of fundraising for our $50 million fund. The first anchor investors have supported us, which will accelerate the closing of the remaining amount. We plan for the first closing to be at the level of $20-25 million. We then have 24 months to fully close the fund. We are already forming a pipeline of new deals.
The creation of the second Big Sky Capital fund will become an important stage in the formation of a unified venture market in Central Asia, opening up new opportunities for startups at stages A and B and attracting the attention of international investors to the region.
