Azerbaijani startup Epoint has entered the Georgian market
Azerbaijani FinTech company Epoint has received a license from the National Bank of Georgia to provide acquiring services and has begun operations in the Georgian market. This makes Georgia the first foreign country where the company officially provides its services.
Over the past year, the Epoint team prepared the product and required documentation, as well as integrated the service with Georgian banking systems to comply with regulatory requirements. The obtained license allows the company's partners, who conduct business both in Azerbaijan and in Georgia, to use acquiring services through a single integration platform, simplifying the connection process and expanding digital payment capabilities.
Entering the Georgian market is part of Epoint's international expansion strategy. Previously, the company participated in the international accelerator program 500 Global, which supports the development of startups in regional markets.
CEO of Epoint Georgia, Hasan Hasanov, supervised the launch of services in Georgia and led the adaptation of the product for operation in the new market.
The company continues to develop FinTech services, expanding acquiring and digital payment capabilities for business partners in the region.
