Azerbaijan and the United States have agreed on cooperation in the field of digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
Azerbaijan and the United States have signed the Charter on Strategic Partnership, which establishes a new stage of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, energy, and defense spheres. The document pays particular attention to the development of artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and security, as well as support for joint research, development, and commercialization of technologies.
Under the agreement, the parties intend to use intergovernmental interaction mechanisms and public-private partnerships for the voluntary transfer of technologies on mutually agreed terms, strengthening Azerbaijan's innovation potential. Among the priority projects are the implementation of the TRIPP transport corridor and the integration of digital technologies to enhance regional security and economic efficiency.
According to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Charter opens "new opportunities for strategic partnership with the US and the formation of a sustainable peace in the region." US Vice President James Vance emphasized that the agreement will accelerate the country's digital transformation and strengthen Azerbaijan's international status in the field of technology.
