Astana Hub and the "Baiterek" Holding will strengthen support for startups in Kazakhstan

The international technology park Astana Hub and the Baiterek Holding have agreed to cooperate to strengthen support for startups and promote the country’s IT exports.

The parties plan to combine the innovative ecosystem tools of Astana Hub with the financial capabilities of the holding company. This will enable technology companies to gain broader access to funding, as well as accelerate the development and scaling of projects in international markets.

This is a strategic partnership that strengthens the financial infrastructure supporting IT companies. Today, we see a key barrier to their growth — limited access to liquidity and financing. In response to this challenge, together with Baiterek Holding, we are developing a new preferential lending instrument for startups, including the possibility of using company shares as collateral without the need for material guarantees. The synergy of the holding company’s tools and the capabilities of our ecosystem will expand access to financing, accelerate project scaling, and facilitate their entry into global markets.

The cooperation is aimed at forming a comprehensive support system — from the early stages of startup development to export expansion. Special emphasis will be placed on stimulating technological entrepreneurship, attracting investments, and increasing the share of Kazakhstani IT solutions in the global market.

Developing export potential is one of the key tasks of the industry: today, a significant portion of the country’s IT exports is provided by Astana Hub participants, and the state aims to substantially increase this indicator in the coming years.  

The partnership between Astana Hub and Baiterek is expected to become an important step in strengthening Kazakhstan’s digital economy and creating a sustainable ecosystem for startup growth.
