Anthropic is preparing a $10 billion funding round and is entering the ranks of the most valuable AI startups.
AI startup Anthropic, developer of the language model and chatbot Claude, plans a new major funding round of $10 billion, which would give the company a valuation of $350 billion before the investment.
The new valuation is nearly double the company's value in September 2025, when Anthropic raised $13 billion at a valuation of $183 billion.
The funding round is expected to be led by Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC and American investment firm Coatue Management. The terms of the deal may still change, but it is expected to close in the coming weeks.
The new capital complements previously announced commitments from Nvidia and Microsoft to invest up to $15 billion in Anthropic under a separate agreement that includes the purchase of cloud computing services.
Anthropic, founded by former OpenAI employees, is strengthening its position in the generative artificial intelligence market and is considering a public stock offering in the coming years.
