Startup Gamma, which develops artificial intelligence-based tools for creating presentations, websites, and social media posts, announced the raising of $68 million in a Series B round at a company valuation of $2.1 billion. According to co-founder and CEO Grant Lee, Gamma has reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue and has approximately 70 million users worldwide.
The company was founded in late 2020, and its public product launch took place in 2022. Previously, in 2024, Gamma raised a Series A round of $12 million, with venture capital firm Accel leading the investment. In the Series B round, $20 million of the funds raised was allocated as a secondary offering, allowing early employees to gain liquidity and realize a portion of their shares.
To date, Gamma has raised a total of approximately $90 million across its Series A and Series B rounds, with a team size of around 50 people. The startup demonstrates high operational efficiency: a relatively small workforce and rapid revenue growth enable the company to hold a leading position in the market for AI tools for visual content.
The high valuation of $2.1 billion makes Gamma a "unicorn" and reflects strong investor interest in technologies for automated presentation and visual content creation. The growth of annual recurring revenue to $100 million and the large number of users indicate strong market demand for the product and its potential for further scaling.
