AI Hackathon and Remote Demo Day: Competitions for Central Asian Startups

We are sharing a selection of great competitions where startups can receive financial support and assistance in developing their projects.

GPT Hackathon

The IT Community of Uzbekistan will host a hackathon focused on designing GPT applications. Over five hours, participants, with the help of mentors and experts, will develop ideas for their own GPT applications and present them to the jury.

Winners will receive consultations on promotion, development, and project growth.

Teams of two or more people can participate.

To participate in the hackathon, you only need to form a team of two or more people. There is no need to develop the application itself — at the event, teams under the guidance of experts will prepare application concepts, and the jury will evaluate the ideas.

Impact Investments

A three-month educational program designed to prepare impact entrepreneurs for the world of impact investments, followed by funding.

The program includes:

— social enterprise diagnostics: helps you identify the strengths and potential of your business

— individual consultations: business experts will share knowledge and help develop a growth strategy

— expert support and pitching: receive individual support and preparation for successfully pitching your project

— pitching and funding: the opportunity to present your project and receive the necessary funding.

Deadline: December 12

Grant for YandexGPT API

What the program offers:

— up to 6,000,000 tenge for six months for using the YandexGPT API

— consultations with Yandex Cloud architects.

Who can participate in the program:

— a company developing technological products

— a project at the MVP stage or higher

— developers with a ready-made task for the YandexGPT API.

Google Solution Challenge 2024

The competition is for student developers.

The mission of the Solution Challenge is to solve one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals using Google technologies.

10 finalists will receive a cash prize of $1,000 for each team member, a feature in the Google Developers blog, and the opportunity to participate in the global live Demo Day broadcast, as well as receive mentorship from a Google expert.

Three finalists will receive the same prizes, but their cash prize is $3,000 for each team member.

Remote Demo Day

This is a remote Demo Day where startups can present their projects to 9,000 venture investors from around the world.

After submitting an application, only seven startups will be selected to present.

Investors listen to presentations and can ask their questions; the best startups will receive investments.
