A free Cyber Academy on cybersecurity has been launched in Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development announces the start of applications for the Red Team & Blue Team Cyber Academy educational program.
The project, implemented in collaboration with Astana Hub based on the Tech Orda program and JSC "State Technical Service," aims to form a personnel reserve in the field of information security and provides for 100 places for free training.
Registration for the program will last until May 18, 2026. The training will take place in an online format and will last six months, allowing participants from all over Kazakhstan to access advanced knowledge. The program is aimed at citizens aged 18 to 45 who possess basic IT competencies, including an understanding of how Windows and Linux operating systems work, network protocols, and command-line skills.
Candidate selection will be conducted on a competitive basis and will include a specialized CTF tournament to identify vulnerabilities and an individual interview. Special attention will be paid during enrollment to participants with relevant education, experience in Bug Bounty programs, or holders of international certifications such as CompTIA, CEH, and OSCP.
The course covers two key areas. The Red Team track focuses on penetration testing practice and vulnerability exploitation methods in a format that closely aligns with global standards.
The Blue Team track is aimed at developing skills in monitoring, detecting cyber threats, and protecting information systems. This initiative is an important step in strengthening the country's digital sovereignty and supporting specialists in one of the most in-demand industries today.
