An AI cluster will be created in Kazakhstan with the participation of the international corporation Citi and Freedom Holding Corp.

On the sidelines of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a tripartural Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the international corporation Citi, and Freedom Holding Corp. regarding the joint construction of a large-scale artificial intelligence cluster.

This Memorandum reflects our shared commitment to supporting Kazakhstan's ambitious digital transformation agenda and the development of advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure. Through this collaboration, we aim to explore innovative financing approaches that can contribute to the creation of a world-class AI cluster and computing capabilities capable of serving government institutions, businesses, and researchers. We can leverage our global experience and access to international capital to strengthen Kazakhstan's position.

Today's event is a practical implementation of the large-scale policy pursued by the President of our country in the field of digitalization and artificial intelligence development. The course toward technological sovereignty and transforming Kazakhstan into a digital power has been set at the highest level, and the memorandum we are signing is a concrete step in this direction. Freedom Holding Corp. has real experience collaborating with leading global technology companies, including NVIDIA and OpenAI, and we intend to apply this expertise to successfully implement the project.

The key task of the collaboration will be the creation of an artificial intelligence cluster equipped with advanced GPU technologies, as well as the construction of a data center that will serve as the brain center for the government sector, science, and business.

Additionally, the agreement provides for the formation of a digital assets ecosystem, which will strengthen Kazakhstan's position in the global financial system.

The parties expressed their intention to develop cooperation in the field of digital banking and cross-border payments by implementing blockchain solutions that will make financial instruments more accessible and transparent for all market participants.
