The Karaganda region is preparing for mass drone production
Author - Mansur Ismagulov
In the Karaganda region, local developers from the scientific and production association "Perspektiva" have created three drone prototypes and are preparing to launch their mass production. The new devices are designed for a wide variety of tasks:
— Vista-7 — for monitoring large areas at long range
— Chimera-5 — a compact short-range drone capable of operating even in rubble and inside buildings, making it useful in search and rescue operations and police work
— Apex-7 — a versatile option for patrolling streets, accompanying mass events, and monitoring fire safety.
The main advantage of the drones is their low cost and high repairability: the bodies are manufactured on a 3D printer, and in case of damage, they can be replaced in 20 minutes, preserving the electronics and avoiding expensive repairs.
Thanks to the production of frames and assembly of drones already within the country, their price is significantly reduced, making such drones an economically viable alternative to installing expensive video cameras on highways and oil pipelines. Currently, the enterprise is working on all necessary issues to transition to mass production of drones.
