A $10 million venture fund, We Fund Ventures, has been launched in Central Asia.

We Fund Ventures, a $10 million venture fund, has launched in Central Asia to invest in the film industry and technology startups within the creative sector. The fund was established with the participation of the Public Foundation "We Fund" and entrepreneur Timur Tilenov.

Of the total amount, $5 million will be directed toward financing the production of film projects and developing the region's production infrastructure. Another $5 million will be invested in technology startups in creative industries, including AI solutions for production, tools for content creators, distribution platforms, media services, and gaming technologies.

We Fund Ventures will work with projects from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other Central Asian countries, viewing the region as a single market of talent and production capabilities.

Aizhan Alisheva, director of the Public Foundation "We Fund," is a co-founder of the fund. For the past three years, she has been developing Kyrgyzstan's startup ecosystem and working with early-stage companies. Entrepreneur Timur Tilenov, who has experience creating international business projects in the US, UAE, and Uzbekistan, has become the managing partner.

The fund plans to invest in companies initially focused on international markets. The team intends to help portfolio projects enter the US, UAE, and Uzbekistan markets.

The first public event for We Fund Ventures will be the Build Global — Osh edition hackathon, taking place in Osh from October 8 to 11, 2026. Participants will create products with global potential, work with mentors, and present their solutions to the jury. The fund's team will also be present at the venue throughout the hackathon.

We Fund Ventures also plans to develop the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem through educational and industry events for founders.
