In Azerbaijan, the preparation of IT specialists and market requirements were discussed.
On May 14, Azerbaijan discussed the situation in the field of training personnel for IT, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Despite the annual graduation of approximately 4,000 specialists, their level of training does not always meet labor market requirements.
This was stated by Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev at a press conference dedicated to the AZCON – AZSET engineering and technology school.
According to him, in the context of rapid development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, the country's future directly depends on the quality of knowledge and skills of young people.
The minister noted that the goal of the meeting is to promote initiatives aimed at creating an educational and scientific center that will develop the necessary competencies among specialists.
The minister reported that, together with the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, an analysis of the state of IT education and employer expectations from university graduates was conducted.
According to the research results, approximately 4,000 students graduate annually in these fields.
