The fifth family science festival PRO.NRG FEST will take place in Astana.

On April 11, the fifth family science festival PRO.NRG FEST 2026 will take place at the EXPO site in Astana — one of the largest educational events aimed at promoting science, technology, and engineering thinking among children and adults.

This year, the festival will be held on the eve of two significant dates — Science Day and Cosmonautics Day — combining educational formats, interactive lectures, and science shows. The central theme of the event will be water, which will be examined not only from the perspectives of chemistry, physics, mathematics, ecology, and design, but also through the lens of astronomy.

According to space popularizer and founder of the astronomy school, Artur Gaiduk, space research plays an important role today in finding new sources of fresh water, as resources on the Earth's surface are gradually being depleted. He also notes that water exists not only on our planet, but also in the Solar System and on exoplanets — in various states.

As part of the festival, Artur Gaiduk will conduct an interactive lecture and organize a space excursion for event guests.

A separate part of the program will be evening astronomical observations, which will take place on April 11 from 20:00 to 22:00 at the EXPO-park site in Astana, the area behind the Monument to the 25th Anniversary of Independence. With the support of the Caravan of Knowledge Corporate Foundation and Chevron, participants will be able to observe celestial objects through telescopes, including Jupiter, as well as the double star system Mizar and Alcor. Organizers note that it is advisable to register in advance to ensure sufficient equipment availability.

PRO.NRG FEST will bring together children, parents, scientists, and enthusiasts, creating a space for learning, experiments, and getting acquainted with modern scientific discoveries. The program includes interactive lectures, science shows, evening stargazing, and the finale of the school science projects competition.

Participation in the festival is free, but pre-registration is required.
