The first Café event from the American startup Cursor will take place in Astana.
On January 22, the Cult coffee shop in the center of Astana will transform for one day into a gathering point for programmers, data engineers, and founders. In the spirit of other Cafe Cursor events, guests will be able to:
— enjoy free coffee
— receive AI credits to use tools from Cursor
— work on their projects in an atmosphere of collaborative coding
— meet the local and international developer community.
Throughout the day, workshops, mini-lectures, demo sessions, and panel discussions will be held on how to build products and companies leveraging AI — from initial prototypes to scaling.
About Cursor

The coding café format has become one of the most prominent trends in the developer community over the past year. This trend was launched by Cursor in cities such as London, New York, and San Francisco. Similar formats have been adopted by other major players, such as Anthropic with its Claude Code Café, as well as a number of new AI startups. The vibe-coding format has already entered dictionaries and become a symbol of the new approach to programming alongside AI.
We are glad that Astana is now appearing on the map of such events — this is a strong signal that Central Asia is joining the global AI movement.
Who to Expect Among Guests
Founders and engineers from international companies working on AI development, automation, and infrastructure for AI agents are expected to participate.
They will share insights on how to practically use tools like Cursor. Among the invited speakers, representatives of startups from London and San Francisco are anticipated.
The event is free, but requires prior registration. The number of spots is limited. The format is open to both experienced engineers and students and aspiring founders.
