Uzbekistan and NVIDIA have agreed to develop artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Meetings took place at IT Park Uzbekistan involving representatives from NVIDIA and Firebird, focusing on the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure in Uzbekistan. The parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including the creation of computing power, workforce development, and the integration of AI technologies into the economy.
As part of the meeting, plans for forming a comprehensive AI ecosystem were presented. In particular, joint initiatives for knowledge exchange and best practices in artificial intelligence management are being discussed, along with the development of industry expertise based on NVIDIA's international experience.
One of the priorities is the development of human capital. Uzbekistan is considering the creation of a Center of Excellence in artificial intelligence, which will operate on NVIDIA technologies and include educational programs for teachers and specialists.
Particular attention has been given to infrastructure. By 2026, plans are in place to develop the technical base for creating two AI clusters with a total capacity of up to 1 megawatt. One of them will be used for educational and scientific purposes, while the second will be for applied tasks, including digital government, healthcare, and industry.
There is also discussion about equipping the country's leading universities with NVIDIA supercomputing infrastructure. Funding for the project has already been allocated, and procurement procedures are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
Cooperation with NVIDIA is viewed as part of a broader strategy by Uzbekistan to develop its digital economy. IT Park Uzbekistan, established to support IT companies and startups, plays a key role in shaping infrastructure, attracting investments, and integrating the country into the global technology market.
It is expected that the implementation of these initiatives will accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across various sectors and strengthen Uzbekistan's position as one of the growing technology hubs in Central Asia.
