Turkish company Tripledot acquired Supersonic from Unity for $40 million
Mobile gaming company Tripledot Studios announced on August 6 the acquisition of Supersonic’s publishing business from Unity. The deal was valued at $40 million.
Supersonic is one of the largest publishers of mobile games in the hybrid-casual segment. The company works with independent studios around the world and brings their projects to a global audience. Within the group, Supersonic will operate in parallel with Lion Studios’ publishing division, which Tripledot acquired along with AppLovin’s portfolio of studios in 2025 for $800 million.
The deal provides the group with Supersonic’s experienced product team, engineering and research resources, as well as traffic acquisition automation technologies. Additionally, Tripledot is entering the Israeli market for the first time and gains access to local gaming industry specialists.

Artificial intelligence has lowered the barrier to entry for game development, and now the main challenge for a small studio is not to create a game, but to bring it to market and scale it to millions of players. Together with Lion Studios, the company will be able to work with a larger number of studios across more markets.
Supersonic was founded six years ago within ironSource and, along with it, came under Unity’s control after the two companies merged in 2022 in a deal valued at $4.4 billion. During this time, the publisher has released over 150 games, including Hole It, Unravel Master, and Going Balls. The total number of downloads for its projects has exceeded six billion.
Supersonic will retain its own brand and continue to operate as a separate business within Tripledot Group under the current management team. Its headquarters will remain in Tel Aviv. The publisher will continue to collaborate with partner studios, invest in the development of its games, and release new projects.
Tripledot was founded in London in 2017 by Lioref Schiff, Akın Babayigit, and Eyal Hammedes, all veterans of the gaming industry. Today, the company manages 12 studios in 23 cities, employs over 2,500 people, and generates annual gross revenue of approximately $2 billion. The company’s games reach more than 20 million people daily.
