Applications are now open for Tech Orda 2026, a free IT training program.
Astana Hub announces the start of the application process for private IT schools and IT companies to participate in the Tech Orda 2026 program — a state initiative aimed at developing human capital and training in-demand IT specialists.
Applications are accepted until May 27, 2026, on the platform astanahub.com.
The program is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and provides for partial or full coverage of tuition costs — up to 500,000 tenge per student.
Tech Orda is aimed at expanding access for Kazakhstani citizens to quality IT education and supporting private educational initiatives. Within the framework of the program, students have the opportunity to master in-demand digital professions for free, while IT schools can scale educational programs and train specialists in accordance with market demands.
The selection mechanism for IT schools and voucher distribution includes three stages. In the first stage, private IT schools and training programs are accredited by an independent commission. Next, an algorithm determines the number of vouchers for each course. During distribution, graduate employment rates are taken into account, additional benefits are provided for regional schools, and compliance with priority training areas is considered, including artificial intelligence, product management, and Agile. In the final stage, schools select students and distribute vouchers for training. An additional announcement will be made regarding the start of the application process for those wishing to undergo training.
To participate in the program, IT schools and IT companies must meet established qualification requirements confirming their profile activity in the ICT sector, organizational sustainability, and the availability of necessary educational infrastructure. Key criteria include compliance with priority ICT areas, the presence of developed educational programs, and the absence of financial or legal restrictions on participation in the program.
Special attention within Tech Orda is paid to the quality of educational programs. Courses should be oriented towards the most in-demand IT areas, include practical training, a system for assessing learning outcomes, and clearly formulated graduate competencies. Training can be conducted in online, offline, or hybrid formats, provided that engagement and attendance of students are monitored.
In 2025, 80 IT schools passed accreditation within the program, offering 160 courses in such areas as web development, 3D design, AR/VR development, cybersecurity, Big Data, IoT, mobile application development, operating system development, and GameDev. Special priority within the program was given to areas related to artificial intelligence, Agile, and product management. Interest in the program continues to grow. Last year alone, more than 34,000 applications were submitted by Kazakhstani citizens. Moreover, over 36% of schools and 30% of students represented regions of the country, highlighting the program's contribution to the development of IT education outside major cities.
The high effectiveness of the program is confirmed by graduate outcomes. To date, the employment rate of Tech Orda graduates is 90%, with an average salary of 612,000 tenge. Graduates work in large national and international companies, as well as in the private sector. Employers include Kaspi.kz, Halyk Bank, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Tengizchevroil, KazMunayGas, Freedom Finance, Kcell, Air Astana, and Kolesa Group.
Tech Orda is one of the key educational initiatives of Astana Hub and plays an important role in shaping Kazakhstan's modern IT ecosystem by ensuring the training of specialists in the most in-demand areas of the digital economy.
