Startups in Uzbekistan can attract up to $125,000 through the President Tech Award
In Uzbekistan, applications are being accepted for the “Best Startup” track of the President Tech Award — a presidential competition for technology projects. Startups can receive up to $125,000 in venture capital investments, and the total fund for the track amounts to $2.5 million.
The “Best Startup” track is designed for teams with a ready-made product that are at the stage of raising investments. Each team must consist of three to eight members.
Which startups can participate
Projects are accepted in 10 technological directions: FinTech, artificial intelligence, Enterprise, Creative Industry & AdTech, GovTech, computer and mobile games, EdTech, Logistics & Mobility, HealthTech, and DeepTech.
Three winners will be selected in each direction. The startup taking first place will be able to attract $125,000, second place — $75,000, and third place — $50,000.
In total, within the framework of the track, 30 startups will be selected, and the total volume of investments will amount to $2.5 million.
Not a grant, but venture capital investments
Financing under the “Best Startup” track is provided specifically in the form of venture capital investments. Before receiving funds, projects undergo a Due Diligence procedure.
In addition to the opportunity to attract investments, participants gain access to expert support and the chance to present their project to specialists and investors.
Participation in the competition is free. Applications can be submitted through the platform awards.gov.uz until August 31.
